Engage in vital water and wastewater operations with the Rural Municipality of St. Clements as a full-time Utility Operator. Your expertise in maintenance and data acquisition for treatment facilities will be essential.
In this role, reporting to the Manager of Water & Waste, you will work on a rotating on-call schedule. Key responsibilities include routine maintenance of water and wastewater systems, data analysis, and adherence to municipal policies. Demonstrating strong communication and problem-solving skills will be key to success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain water and wastewater facilities
- Conduct detailed inspections and evaluations
- Analyze water/wastewater quality and interpret data
- Maintain compliance records and inventory of supplies
- Prepare daily reports for supervisors
Requirements:
- Experience preferred over formal education
- Strong communication and critical thinking skills
- Willingness to work on-call and weekends
- Valid Class 1 or 3 driver's license preferred
- Welding and mechanical abilities a plus
