DZ Driver for Matrec in Ottawa

Join Matrec, a division of GFL, as a full-time DZ Driver based in Ottawa. Support waste collection and ensure customer satisfaction while prioritizing safety in your daily operations.

In this permanent role, you will be a key driver ensuring timely waste collection and excellent customer service. With 1-2 years in the waste industry and strong communication skills, you'll perform daily vehicle inspections and navigate assigned routes efficiently. Experience with front-end vehicles is preferred, enhancing your contribution to our dynamic work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete daily routes safely and on time
• Drive to customer sites and manage bins
• Transfer waste to appropriate stations or landfills
• Meet customer service needs according to policies
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections

Requirements:

• High school completion (post-secondary preferred)
• 1-2 years driving experience in waste
• 5 years of driving in a DZ vehicle preferred
• Strong customer focus and interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to prioritize tasks safely
