Design immersive soundscapes in Calgary for Eavesdrop: The Coffee Shop Show, using voice recording, mastering, and collaborative production skills.
Swallow-a-Bicycle Theatre seeks a creative, talented, and adventurous Sound Designer for its Spring 2014 production. The site-specific show unfolds in public coffee shops, where audiences wear wireless headphones and hear an immersive soundscape. In consultation with the Director and creative team, you may build on previous material or create the design from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and execute Eavesdrop's soundscape collaboratively
- Record and master actor and character voices
- Attend technical and required production rehearsals
- Complete sound design edits and changes promptly
- Support sound design through the April production
Requirements:
- Creative, talented, and adventurous sound design approach
- Availability for scheduled workshops and voice recording
- Availability during rehearsals and production
- Collaborative approach with directors and creative teams
- Ability to work in Calgary coffee shops
