Support personal independence with Health PEI as a Casual Home Support Worker in Summerside or O'Leary, using personal care skills daily.
This casual position supports Health PEI's Home Care Program within a multidisciplinary team. You will assist individuals and families in home settings while providing personal care, household support, documentation, and client progress reporting. The work helps people maintain health and independence in their communities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with bathing, dressing, transfers, meals, respite, and household tasks
- Assess, document, and report client progress to coordinators
- Encourage individuals and families to meet their needs
- Build relationships with clients, families, providers, and agencies
- Share client information during case conferences
Requirements:
- Complete Resident Care Worker or Licensed Nursing Program
- Demonstrate interdisciplinary teamwork, flexibility, and independent work
- Complete client assessments with multidisciplinary teams
- Hold current CPR, TLR, WHMIS, and hand hygiene certificates
- Possess a driver's license and reliable vehicle
Bring home care knowledge, communication skills, and personal care ability to Health PEI's casual community support services.
