Lead inclusive summer programming with staff mentorship, adaptive recreation expertise, and participant support for children, youth, and young adults.
The Town of Ajax seeks an Inclusion Supervisor reporting to the Community Recreation Coordinator. You will guide Inclusion Support Staff and advise Camps and Playgrounds Teams. The work includes adaptive equipment, behaviour management, personal care, medication administration, and specialized training.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee safe, enjoyable programs supported by Inclusion Support Services
- Mentor staff and provide leadership across camps and playgrounds
- Coordinate inclusive activities, adaptive equipment, and resource distribution
- Model personal care, lifts, transfers, and behaviour management practices
- Maintain medication, washroom care, schedules, and participant documentation
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent education and experience
- Two years delivering inclusive adaptive recreation programs or equivalent
- Experience supervising staff and supporting individuals with special needs
- Valid G2 licence, clear abstract, and personal vehicle access
- First Aid, CPR C, HIGH FIVE, and behaviour certification requirements
