Since 2001, Sewa has grown to be a well established business in the lower mainland of Vancouver. What started out as hauling a single truckload from British Columbia to Arizona, Sewa has progressed into a fleet of 20+ trucks. Sewa specializes in transporting freight across Western Canada and the Western United States; including but not limited to, British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Utah, Colorado, Arizona, California, and Texas. Sewa has expanded into warehousing and cold storage. We now have 15,000+ sf of storage and 10,000+ sf of cold storage. We are looking to hire a Warehouse Manager to start with our company immediately. We will offer a pay rate of $45 per hour with 30-35 hour work weeks. Overtime will be paid at 1.5 times after 8 hours of work per day and/or 40 hours of work per week. The responsibilities of the Warehouse Manager is as follows: Direct and control the operations of commercial facilities Evaluate the operations of facilities and the included real estate Oversee the preparation of reports and statistics related to areas of responsibility Plan and organize construction projects Prepare reports and statistics related to areas of responsibility Promote sales to existing clients Estimate costs of installing and maintaining equipment or service Use sales forecasting software Develop and implement schedules and procedures for safety inspections and preventive maintenance programs Hire and oversee training and supervision of staff Oversee the installation, maintenance and repair of real estate infrastructures including machinery, equipment and electrical and mechanical systems Plan and manage the facility's operations budget Plan, organize and direct administrative services such as signage, cleaning, maintenance, parking, safety inspections, security and snow removal Resolve product and service related problems Organize and maintain inventory Supervision 5-10 people Experience and specialization Computer and technology knowledge iOS Accounting software MS Access MS Excel MS Office MS Outlook MS PowerPoint MS Word Dispatch management service software Electronic mail Electronic scheduler Inventory control software Mac OS Spreadsheet Internet MS Windows Area of specialization Shipping and receiving Security and safety Reference required Transportation/travel information Own transportation Valid driver's licence Work conditions and physical capabilities Fast-paced environment Work under pressure Tight deadlines Handling heavy loads Attention to detail Personal suitability Organized Reliability Team player Dependability Flexibility Initiative Positive attitude Punctuality Benefits Parking available We are willing to hire a successful candidate with either the educational background or hands on experience in warehouse roles.
