Job DescriptionOverviewThe Shoreline Power Group is a fully integrated Joint Venture of Aecon, United and AtkinsRéalis located in Kincardine, Ontario. Shoreline Power Group is the centerpiece of the Major Component Replacement (MCR) program which replaces the main components of 6 reactors at the Bruce Power Nuclear Generating Station. The scope of work includes the removal and replacement of calandria tubes, pressure tubes, and feeders as well as construction management and trade labor. This project is part of Bruce Power's Life Extension Program, which will allow Bruce Power's CANDU units to continue to operate safely through to 2064.The Mechanical Quality Inspector is responsible for the performance of all quality functions and duties as related to the FCFR construction activities performed under the JV QA Program. The position reports to the Project Quality Assurance Supervisor.Your roleParticipate in execution of the Inspection and Test Plans.Perform quality inspection in accordance with the related codes and customer specifications. Such inspections shall include but not be limited to:Dimensional inspections.Visual welding inspection.Hardness testing.Positive material identification.Review of Certified Material Test Reports as required.Perform internal weld monitoring as required.Complete all associated documentation and forms for individual inspections.Participate in the development and maintenance of a cost of quality tracking system.Tracking of non-conformance reports and corrective/preventative action requests.About youGraduate secondary school education in welding technology, QA/QC or a related discipline at the University or College level.W178 Level 1 or 2 Visual Weld inspection.
