Run what runs the worldThis Position reports to:Directrice de qualitéJob SummaryAs a member of the Quality team, you are responsible for certifying new products and updating certification files for existing products. You will interact directly with project managers and product directors to understand requirements and guide the team toward proper product certification.Responsibilities:Obtain and maintain the necessary certifications to ensure product compliance.Prepare documentation and plans required for certification, identifying applicable standards.Read, interpret, and translate standards into certification requirements.Ensure smooth execution of certification audits and liaise with relevant agencies.Collaborate with development teams to define preliminary and final tests, validate data, and guarantee compliance for existing and custom products.Determine the level of effort required for certification and approve labeling and documentation intended for customers.Monitor changes in standards and develop partnerships with ABB and agencies to optimize costs and timelines.Participate in quality group activities and related tasks.Desired Profile: You are recognized for your leadership, decision-making ability, rigor, and teamwork skills. Fully committed to achieving objectives, the candidate is autonomous, responsible, analytical, and an effective communicator both orally and in writing. The candidate demonstrates strong interest in regulatory environments.Specific Qualifications Required:Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in science or engineering, with 5-8 years of relevant experience; experience in a regulated environment (ISO 9001 or other quality systems).Language Skills & Mobility: Excellent command of French and English (spoken and written); occasional travel required. French is mandatory. English is also required for regular communication with clients outside Quebec.Technical Knowledge: Electrical safety standards, electromagnetic compatibility, environmental requirements (RoHS, REACH); knowledge of standards for explosive environments is considered an asset.Other Skills: Ability to interpret and apply standards in a certification and compliance context.Why ABB?
