The Role

We are seeking an experienced
Consolidation Specialist / Assistant Manager
to join our finance team. This role will play a key part in managing quarterly and annual consolidation processes, preparing group-level financial reporting, and leading the year-end audit for our portfolio presence across Canada / UK and the US. The ideal candidate is technically strong, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively in a fast‑paced growth environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the
    quarter-end and year-end consolidation
    process for the group, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to reporting timelines.
  • Prepare consolidated financial statements and supporting schedules under
    ASPE
    and
    IFRS
    , as applicable.
  • Review financial results submitted by subsidiaries and ensure proper elimination entries and consolidation adjustments are recorded.
  • Develop and maintain consolidation models, working papers, and internal documentation to support audit and internal review.
  • Experience with Oracle Consolidation Software (FCCS) is an asset.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for
    external auditors
    , managing audit requests, coordinating deliverables, and ensuring timely completion of the group audit.
  • Assist in the preparation of technical accounting memos and support the adoption of new accounting standards where required.
  • Collaborate with finance and operational teams across entities to resolve accounting issues and ensure consistent application of policies.
  • Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance reporting processes, controls, and systems.
  • Participate in ad hoc financial reporting projects and special initiatives as the business evolves.

Professional Qualifications:

  • CPA designation required
    (CPA Canada or international equivalent with Canadian recognition)
  • Experience with a public accounting firm (Big 4 is preferred)
  • 5–7 years of relevant experience
    in Group Financial Reporting (Consolidation) and audit handling
  • Strong knowledge of
    ASPE
    and experience with
    IFRS
    ; ability to apply technical accounting guidance
  • Prior experience working with multi-entity corporate structures
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency in Excel; experience with consolidation software is an asset
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
