Overview

We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Sales Associate to join our dynamic team. As a Sales Associate, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service to our customers in a grocery store environment. You will assist with product demonstrations, manage transactions at the cash register, and help maintain an organized and stocked sales floor. Duties

  • Greet customers warmly and provide assistance with their shopping needs.
  • Conduct product demonstrations to engage customers and promote new items.
  • Operate the cash register and process transactions accurately using POS systems.
  • Maintain knowledge of store products and promotions to effectively communicate with customers.
  • Ensure shelves are stocked, organized, and visually appealing.
  • Assist with inventory management by restocking items as needed.
  • Uphold high standards of cleanliness and organization throughout the store.
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Utilize basic math skills for accurate cash handling and change distribution.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a grocery store or retail environment is preferred but not required.
  • Bilingual candidates are highly encouraged to apply to better serve our diverse customer base.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
  • Familiarity with cash registers, POS systems, and phone etiquette is advantageous.
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations for transactions and inventory management.
  • A proactive attitude towards teamwork and collaboration within a retail setting.
