Position Summary

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead the development and architecture of our full-stack UMDB platform. This position requires expertise in React, TypeScript, , and MongoDB to manage both frontend and backend development. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving technical decisions, mentoring development team members, and ensuring scalable, maintainable code across the entire technology stack.Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Leadership & Development

  • Design and implement scalable solutions across React frontend and backend systems

  • Build and maintain RESTful APIs with comprehensive OpenAPI documentation

  • Optimize MongoDB operations, design database schemas, and ensure data integrity

  • Develop responsive, accessible UI components using React 18, TypeScript, and TailwindCSS

  • Develop backend services using , TypeScript, MongoDB/Mongoose, AWS S3

  • Manage AWS CloudFront CDN, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing infrastructureTeam Leadership & Collaboration

  • Establish and enforce coding standards, conduct code reviews, and maintain comprehensive test coverage

  • Mentor junior developers and promote software development best practices

  • Break down complex features into manageable development tasks and provide accurate project estimates

  • Collaborate with product management, design, and business stakeholder teamsRequired Qualifications

  • 5+ years of full-stack development experience with JavaScript and TypeScript

  • Advanced proficiency in React ecosystem including Hooks, Context API, and state management

  • Extensive backend development experience with , , and MongoDB

  • Production experience with AWS services including S3, CloudFront, and EC2

  • Expertise in RESTful API development and OpenAPI specification documentation

  • Experience implementing authentication systems using JWT tokens and OAuth 2.0 protocols

  • Payment gateway integration experience with Stripe, PayPal, or equivalent platforms

  • Understanding of microservices architecture and API design patterns

  • Experience with monitoring and logging systems in production environments
