Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Construction Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for construction/renovations, repairing, and improving various aspects of our facilities and equipment. This role requires a versatile individual capable of handling a wide range of construction tasks to ensure the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of our property. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where attention to detail and proactive problem-solving are valued.

Duties

  • Perform general renovations on buildings and apartment units
  • Conduct routine inspections to identify issues before they escalate
  • Repair drywall/plastering, flooring, tiling and painting as needed
  • Assist with installation of appliances, fixtures, and furniture
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas during and after tasks
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff or management
  • Coordinate with contractors or specialists for specialized repairs or projects
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes at all times

Skills

  • Proven experience as a maintenance person or in a similar maintenance role
  • Strong knowledge of carpentry, interior construction, and other trades
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues efficiently and implement effective solutions
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Good physical condition with the ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual tasks
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Nice-to-have skills include familiarity with building codes, HVAC systems, or experience with painting and flooring installations

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00-$40.00 per hour
