Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate ABA Therapist to join our team, working with children and families to implement Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in special education or related fields, and a passion for helping children with developmental challenges. The roles are for HomeBased Services in York, Durham and Simcoe Regions. This role involves direct interaction with clients, data collection, and collaboration with other professionals to ensure effective treatment plans are followed.

Duties

  • Implement individualized ABA therapy programs for children with autism and other developmental disorders.
  • Conduct assessments to determine client needs and develop appropriate treatment plans.
  • Collect and analyze data on client progress, adjusting strategies as necessary to achieve goals.
  • Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other professionals to provide comprehensive support.
  • Maintain accurate electronic records of therapy sessions and client progress.
  • Stay informed about the latest research in ABA therapy and apply best practices in treatment.
  • Utilize behavioural terminology effectively when discussing client care with healthcare professionals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Special Education, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience working with children in a clinical or educational setting is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of case management principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with behavioural terminology relevant to pediatrics and patient care.
  • Strong data collection skills to monitor client progress effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact positively with clients, families, and team members.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development in the field of ABA therapy.
