Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Finance Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will support financial operations through accurate data entry, bookkeeping, and administrative tasks. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in financial management within a professional office environment. Prior experience with QuickBooks, Microsoft Office, and office administration is preferred. The position requires strong organizational skills, proficiency in computer applications, and excellent customer service abilities.

Duties

  • Manage and update financial records using QuickBooks and other accounting software
  • Perform data entry related to invoices, payments, and expense reports
  • Assist with bookkeeping tasks including account reconciliations and ledger maintenance
  • Support administrative functions such as filing, document proofreading, and record organization
  • Handle front desk responsibilities including greeting visitors and managing multi-line phone systems
  • Provide customer support via phone and email, addressing inquiries professionally with proper phone etiquette
  • Support medical or dental office operations if applicable, including appointment scheduling and patient record management
  • Utilize Google Workspace and Microsoft Office tools for report creation, correspondence, and document management
  • Ensure accuracy in all clerical tasks such as filing, typing, and proofreading documents

Requirements

  • Proven experience with QuickBooks, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), and Google Workspace
  • Strong computer skills with the ability to perform data entry efficiently and accurately
  • Previous clerical or administrative experience, preferably in a medical or dental office setting
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping
  • Effective customer service skills with professional phone etiquette and communication abilities
  • Experience with multi-line phone systems and front desk operations is a plus
  • Ability to handle confidential information discreetly and responsibly
  • Basic bookkeeping knowledge including invoicing, billing, and account reconciliation
  • Prior experience in medical or dental office environments is desirable but not required
