Primary Duties:

1. Adherence to NSG/Pilkington Standards of Business Conduct and its Values and Principles.

2. Take a leadership role in promoting product quality, employee development and cost reduction initiatives.

3. Supervise the materials production area, scheduling, logistics / customer service and inventory control functions, ensuring that materials and services are procured in a timely manner at the lowest possible prices without impacting quality, performance, or customer service.

4. Implement and maintain effective controls for all areas of responsibility.

5. Provides long term production and inventory plans that insure optimal utilization of capacity and assets.

6. Establish and maintain effective internal and external customer relationships

7. Identify and implement cost reduction/ avoidance opportunities.

8. Manage the flow of raw packaging materials and supplies coming into the facility and the processes and systems to efficiently manage the material flow.

9. Manage departmental expenses to meet budget. Work with department employee to create cost reduction projects.

10. Establish and maintain 5S system. Work with supervisors and hourly employees to ensure plant housekeeping meets or exceed standards.

11. Other Duties as assigned

Required:·

  • 4 year degree in Business Management or related field
  • 5 years experience in manufacturing environment
  • 2 years experience in supervisory role
  • Demonstrated ability in solving problems related to manufacturing processes
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills and must be an effective communicator.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and organize objectives and targets to meet deadlines.
  • Strong computer skills

Qualifications Desired:

· Six sigma certification

· Previous glass experience

· TS16949 experience
