About the Role:

We're a licensed childcare centre looking for a dependable and organized Daycare Cook to join our team immediately. The Cook will prepare healthy meals and snacks for children and may occasionally support staff on the childcare floor.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare nutritious meals/snacks following Canada's Food Guide
  • Follow allergy and dietary restrictions
  • Maintain a clean, safe kitchen environment
  • Manage food inventory and supplies
  • Follow licensing and Public Health standards
  • Provide classroom coverage when needed

Requirements:

  • Food Handler's Certificate
  • Criminal Record Check + Vulnerable Sector Check
  • Child Abuse Registry Check (NS)
  • First Aid & CPR Level C
  • Experience in a kitchen or food service role
  • Ability to work as part of a team

Assets:

  • Experience cooking for groups or children
  • Knowledge of allergy-safe food prep
  • Flexible and reliable
