Preschool Educator

The Manor Park Community Council (MPCC) is seeking an experienced, and energetic individual to fill a full-time position in our toddler and preschool licensed child care centre.

As a Preschool Educator, you play a key role in providing children with a nurturing, stimulating, and safe environment. Working with a diverse team of Educators, you will have the opportunity to guide the magic where children make friendships and learn new skills.

The position has responsibilities related to planning and implementing developmentally appropriate programming, providing a safe and nurturing environment, and mentoring team members.

Manor Park Child Care is one of two licenses held by the MPCC providing a supportive work environment under a highly experienced manager. The MPCC is a community not-for-profit also providing recreational programs and community events. The Preschool Educator position is a temporary position beginning January and ending on February 27, 2026 with the potential to lead to a full time role

Salary: $21 to $27 per hour, inclusive of Wage Enhancement, Workforce Compensation and CWELCC Annual Increases, where applicable

Benefits for full time employees: Priority childcare; Sick Leave, Personal Leave, 2 weeks paid vacation, a comprehensive benefits package including dental, vision, prescriptions, travel insurance, physio, massage, etc is available to all employees after 3 months of employment. There is no cost to employees to be part of the benefits plan.

Minimum requirements:

  • 2-3 years working in a child care setting or recent graduate of the ECE program.
  • Fluency in English, French is an asset;
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills;
  • Organizational and problem solving skills;
  • Standard First Aid and CPR Level C;
  • Police Records Check (Level 3 Vulnerable Sector) within 6 months of hire date, and
  • Up to date immunizations, including Covid 19 primary doses
