We are actively seeking a Third-Class Engineer Officer to carry out operations and mechanical maintenance on the tugs at the Port of Goderich in Ontario.

Maintain main engine and auxiliary equipment.Operate electrical, mechanical and hydraulic control systems and offshore refuelling equipment.Ensure proper operation and maintenance of refrigeration, ventilation and air conditioning equipment.Keep track of preventive maintenance system tasks.Ensure application of the safety management system.Monitor main engine operation (pressure, temperature, oil levels) and report any anomalies.Carry on any other related duties requested by immediate supervisor.Participate and support the activities of the Health, Safety and Environment Management System.OUR IDEAL COLLEAGUE HAS:
Valid Canadian STCW Third-Class Mechanical Officer certificateValid medical certificate issued by Transport CanadaCertificates of competency:STCW Basic SafetyAbility to operate lifeboat and rescue boats other than fast rescue boatsAdvanced firefighting techniquesThree (3) to five (5) years of experience as an Engineer Officer (asset)Good knowledge of diesel mechanicsAvailability for long tripsBilingualism in French and English, oral and written (asset)
