Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Yoga Instructor to join our wellness team. We are opening a new puppy yoga studio called Purely Paws Yoga in the KW region and surrounding areas. The ideal candidate will lead engaging low intensity yoga classes and promote a positive environment. This role offers an opportunity to inspire others through the practice of yoga while fostering a supportive community atmosphere.

Responsibilities

  • Lead group and private yoga classes tailored around the puppies - low intensity
  • Demonstrate proper techniques and postures, ensuring safety and effectiveness
  • Provide clear instructions and modifications to accommodate all participants
  • Foster a welcoming, inclusive environment that encourages mindfulness and relaxation
  • Monitor class participants and offer personalized guidance when needed
  • Help maintain cleanliness and organization of the yoga studio before and after classes
  • Promote upcoming classes, workshops, and wellness events to clients
  • Stay updated on the latest yoga trends, techniques, and health guidelines

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Yoga Instructor with relevant certifications (you will be asked to send these to us along with proper insurance for teaching)
  • Strong teaching skills with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to effectively manage time during classes
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities to motivate and inspire students
  • Ability to adapt instruction for diverse audiences and skill levels
  • Passion for health, wellness, and helping others achieve their fitness goals

Hours

  • 3-6 hours weekly (2-4 consecutive hours in a day example 11am-3pm)
  • Pop-up events can happen with short notice if studio areas become available
  • Willing to commute to Waterloo and Kitchener

Pay

  • 22.50$ an hour

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $22.50 per hour

Licence/Certification:

  • 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training (required)
