We are dedicated to offering a hybrid work environment when applicable.Position:The Analyst, Private Company Advisory is responsible for participating in and supporting the operational activities of the business unit in deal execution and transaction management of financial advisory services to small-to-medium size businesses. The Analyst will support the Vice-President and Senior Vice-President in the preparation of marketing materials, presentations, research materials, proposals, developing complex financial models, and transaction documentation. The ideal candidate has experience working with wealth advisors and their business owner clients. Additionally, the candidate is able to apply experience and complete working knowledge of the job which includes the policies/practices required to perform a combination of routine tasks and varied administrative/operational assignments. Responsibilities:Provide support in deal execution and transaction managementDevelop financial models and analysis for potential and live transactionsConduct thorough research on companies and industries and delivery of concise summariesUse research tools to extract relevant background material for business development and transaction supportAssist in the preparation of internal and external marketing materialsCreate presentations and pitch books to existing and potential clientsSupport client meetings and calls with the Vice PresidentCollaborate with other team members to develop and execute client strategiesAssist with due diligence processes of potential buyers or clients of PCAEnsure compliance with regulations and internal policiesManage project timelines and deliverablesOther administrative tasks as neededQualificationsUndergraduate degree with a focus in business, commerce, finance, economics, mathematics, actuarial sciences, or other quantitative fields2-5 years of work experience in the financial services with solid understanding ofCash flow, financial modeling, and valuationInter-relation of net income, cash flow, and working capitalUsing research tools to extract relevant background material for business development and transaction supportStrong written and verbal communication skills in English and in FrenchStrong financial modeling skills, including proficiency in Microsoft ExcelStrong computer literacy with emphasis on PowerPoint presentation skillsExcellent analytical and quantitative skillsAttention to detail and accuracyExceptional communication and interpersonal skillsKnowledge of financial and capital marketsUnderstanding of accounting and financial statementsAbility to work well under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneouslyFamiliarity with valuation techniques and methodologiesProficiency in other financial analysis tools such as Pitchbook or Capital IQAbility to find, research and analyze industries and companiesQualitiesStrong work ethic and dedicationHigh level of integrity and ethical standardsStrong personal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environmentCuriosity and willingness to learnResilience and perseveranceConfidence and assertivenessStrong time management skillsResults-driven and goal-oriented mindsetInnovative and creative thinkingTravel may be required however we expect that to be limited in nature < 10 days per year.
