We are currently seeking a
Sanitation Supervisor
for one of our clients located in
Winnipeg, MB
, to support their facility operations.

Pay
- 70K to 75K

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily sanitation operations across production, packaging, and common areas
  • Ensure sanitation activities comply with GMPs, HACCP, SQF/BRC, CFIA/FDA, and company policies
  • Develop, implement, and maintain sanitation standard operating procedures (SSOPs)
  • Schedule and assign sanitation staff to meet production and audit requirements
  • Train sanitation employees on proper cleaning methods, chemical handling, PPE usage, and safety procedures
  • Verify proper use, storage, and dilution of cleaning chemicals and sanitizers
  • Conduct routine inspections to ensure cleanliness and sanitation effectiveness
  • Maintain sanitation logs, records, and documentation for audits and inspections
  • Work closely with Quality Assurance, Maintenance, and Production teams to resolve sanitation-related issues
  • Identify and report equipment or facility issues impacting sanitation
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including lockout/tagout and confined space procedures
  • Lead corrective actions related to sanitation non-conformances
  • Participate in internal and external audits and support continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications & Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in food science or related field is an asset
  • 3–5 years of sanitation experience in a food processing or manufacturing environment
  • 1–2 years of supervisory or lead experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP, GMP, SQF/BRC)
  • Experience with sanitation chemicals, CIP systems, and manual cleaning processes
  • Ability to read and interpret SSOPs, MSDS/SDS, and sanitation logs
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends
  • Physically able to work in wet, cold, or hot environments
