Job Description:

Location: Hybrid

As a Plan Specialist, you will support a positive Group Benefits client experience via the successful set up and revision of group plans on various systems. This role requires strong technical skills, workflow management ability as well as a passion for high quality customer service.

What will you do?

  • Processing new business and/or revisions within established service standards for quality and timeliness
  • Interpret plan design details, seek clarification to ensure "right" outcome
  • Partner with Service Specialists and Implementation Specialists to clarify plan design so that system setup is efficient and accurate
  • Respond to inquiries from Clients and internal business partners
  • Assess and negotiate target dates to meet Client expectations
  • Share knowledge and technical expertise with colleagues and business partners
  • Understand and analyze Client needs to recommend system setup that supports those needs
  • Participate in projects as requested
  • Contribute and be proactive in leading change.

What do you need to succeed?

  • Proven skills in Client service
  • Effective analytical and resolution skills
  • Computer literacy and strong attention to details
  • Ability to work independently with a sense of initiative and self-reliance
  • Ability to multitask in a multi-functional environment with shifting priorities
  • Strong organizational and time management skills

Preferred skills:

  • Knowledge of Group Benefits is an asset
  • Bilingualism in both French and English is an asset (outside of Quebec)
  • Minimum 2 years of post-secondary education

Other:

  • Overtime may be required during peak periods.
  • Ability to work flexible hours during periods of peak volumes.

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance. Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
