Who we're looking for:

We're looking for an Accounts Payable Summer Student to join our all-star team. We're looking for:

  • Exceptional service and compliance: You consistently deliver outstanding customer service while strictly adhering to financial policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Someone who pays attention to detail and enjoys repetitive tasks: You efficiently process and complete repetitive assignments, maintaining high levels of accuracy and attention to detail. Your diligence minimizes errors and ensures that routine responsibilities are executed reliably, contributing to the overall quality and consistency of team outcomes.

What you'll do:

Here is a sample of what your workdays may look like:

  • Maintain and update Vendor Master Data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Review Accounts Payable transactions for correctness, identifying, and resolving various issues, including duplicate invoices.
  • Support the invoice payment process by managing invoices, field tickets, service entries, and validating contract rates.
  • Perform daily audits on high volumes of data to uphold data integrity.
  • Assist SES stream during planned outages.
  • Offer vacation coverage and contribute to special projects as assigned.
  • Occasionally assist the accounting team during peak periods to ensure smooth operations.

What you bring:

Required

  • Enrolled in a post-secondary program in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with solid computer skills.
