- Evaluating technical alternatives, resolving complex technical issues, and interfacing with other disciplines.
- Developing preliminary designs using CAD tools (e.g., Bentley, Autodesk) for wet and dry utilities.
- Designing utility protection and relocation plans across concept, preliminary, and detailed design phases.
- Mentoring junior staff and fostering their professional development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering. Master's degree not required, but also considered an asset.
- 8+ years of experience on large, complex transit/transportation projects with increasing levels of responsibility.
- P.Eng. designation (or eligibility for designation).
- Direct experience with GTA public and private utility companies is an asset.
- Proficiency with CAD tools (MicroStation, Inroads/Open Roads, or AutoCAD Civil 3D).
