Material Management Specialist Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and report Supplier's performance toward completion of all deliverables in accordance with the Terms and Conditions of the Purchase Order
  • Collaborate across all disciplines including Material Management, Supplier Quality Surveillance (SQS)/Quality, Engineering, Project Data & Document Management (PDDM), and Construction
  • Generate documents, organize and manage files, and maintain tracking data and reports
  • Distribute bid packages, correspondence, and other documents, as necessary
  • Identify and qualify potential bidders for purchases and contracts
  • Perform data entry proficiently into the approved Corporate Reference Tool for Material
  • Maintain the highest ethical standards of Material Management professional responsibility
  • Analyze and make recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization and/or project objectives and guidelines
  • Organize and prioritize a variety of projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner, set priorities, and meet deadlines
  • Plan and organize own work assignments, as well as carry out tasks from management staff

Our clients depend on Fluor's expertise for timely procurement of materials and equipment for their projects. We have built a global network of trusted suppliers to meet Client objectives, delivering critical items to projects in a timely manner to meet project schedule and cost requirements. The Materials Management Department performs a number of key functions in which the successful candidate will assist in on a given EPC project.

Basic Job Requirements
  • Graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Commerce, or Management in a related field in 2025/2026.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
  • Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner

Fluor's projects are organized into task forces that operate as a team. Successful candidates will be working closely with other employees and efficient written and oral communication skills are essential to the job.

Compressed work schedule: The Fluor Canada offices work a compressed work schedule offering every second Friday off. 

Salary is based upon experience. Salary Range: $53, $99,500.00

The market rate for the role is typically at the mid-point of the salary range; however, variations in final salary are determined by additional factors such as the candidate's qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
