We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Transport Manager to oversee the efficient operation of our transportation services. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating logistics, managing transportation staff, and ensuring timely delivery of goods. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent planning abilities, and a thorough understanding of transportation regulations and safety standards. The Transport Manager plays a critical role in optimizing routes, reducing costs, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.

Duties

  • Develop and implement transportation strategies to optimize delivery schedules and routes
  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of drivers and logistics staff
  • Ensure compliance with all transportation laws, safety regulations, and company policies
  • Monitor vehicle maintenance schedules and coordinate repairs as needed
  • Manage transportation budgets, track expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Maintain accurate records of shipments, deliveries, and driver logs
  • Collaborate with other departments to meet supply chain demands and improve operational efficiency
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing training for team members
  • Address any transportation issues or delays promptly to minimize impact on operations

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in transportation management or logistics roles
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent organizational and planning abilities
  • Knowledge of transportation regulations, safety standards, and compliance requirements
  • Ability to analyze data to improve route efficiency and reduce costs
  • Effective communication skills for coordinating with staff, vendors, and clients
  • Proficiency in transportation management software or related technology tools
  • Valid driver's license preferred; relevant certifications such as CDL are a plus

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $4,500.00-$6,000.00 per month
