Remote, Oregon, Canada Muck Rack Full time

Muck Rack is the leading SaaS platform for public relations and communications professionals. Our mission is to enable organizations to build trust, tell their stories, and demonstrate the unique value of earned media. Muck Rack's AI-powered, comprehensive, and integrated platform streamlines the PR workflow to help businesses generate positive media coverage, monitor mentions to manage brand reputation, and analyze PR's impact on business outcomes. By combining media database, monitoring, and reporting into one dynamic platform, we empower teams to collaborate seamlessly, pitch effectively, and analyze results faster and more efficiently.

Founder-controlled, fully distributed, and growing sustainably, Muck Rack has received several awards for its unparalleled culture and product from organizations like Inc., Quartz, G2, and BuiltIn. We value resilience, transparency, ownership, and customer devotion, and infuse these values into everything we do.

We're looking for an experienced and collaborative Sr. Product Manager PRM, Reporting & Insights to join our Reporting team, which is primarily responsible for the suite of experiences that enable customers to effectively report on their coverage and PR efforts..

Reporting to our Sr. Director of Product, you'd join a 20-person Product team consisting of product managers, product operations, and product designers, all motivated to build a best-in-industry solution. As a Sr. Product Manager, you will collaborate cross-functionally with our tech teams to build industry-changing projects for how brands and agencies measure their impact in an evolving internet landscape.

What you'll do:
  • Partner with product leadership to establish, validate, and sell a strategy for Reporting & Insights at Muck Rack, ensuring customers can effectively report on their coverage
  • Project manage all Reporting & Insights projects, from scope to release, partnering with UX, go-to-market, product marketing, and revenue stakeholders
  • Explore innovative solutions for a market that's ripe for innovation, advocating for new possible approaches to old PR problems, and demonstrate an openness for leveraging AI to shape workflows in ways that provide clear value
  • Identify, track, and report back on key product health metrics to showcase the effectiveness of our roadmap and build decisions, and prioritize necessary follow-up work to close gaps
  • Write clear requirements, and acceptance criteria to ensure tech teams have the clarity they need to deliver high quality outcomes for users and internal stakeholders
  • Maintain the day-to-day backlog with the engineering teams, ensuring all tickets are prioritized and planned to meet targeted milestones
  • Inform and manage project plans on more major projects to ensure cross-functional dependencies are known and tracked, and define and track progress against project OKRs
  • Communicate effectively with team members and key stakeholders to achieve project goals and to identify and mitigate risks as they arise
  • Analyze and monitor qualitative and quantitative data on Muck Rack to identify product opportunities or gaps that help us to develop world-class user experiences
How success will be measured in this role:
  • Successful roadmap delivery: In collaboration with others, the right projects are built in an effective way, as demonstrated by key feature adoption metrics and impactful movement on health metrics
  • Customer First: communicate effectively with customers and have an understanding of how to synthesize across multiple sources of user data and feedback, and creatively connect it to product strategy and development
  • Relationships: build strong relationships cross-functionally and cross-departmentally to ensure successful feature adoption
If the details below describe you, you could be a great fit for this role:
  • 4+ years product management, or equivalent professional SaaS experience in customer success, UX research, product operations, product marketing, or data analytics roles
  • Proficiency in contributing to product development teams, from solution requirements to execution, and asynchronously breaking down product and technical requirements. Past experience with hybrid or distributed teams is a plus
  • Experience in using product development tools (ex. JIRA, Shortcut or Linear), navigating product analytics (ex. Heap, Pendo), and collaborative tools (ex. Miro, FigJam, LucidCharts, etc.)
  • Experience making sound and challenging prioritization decisions, and getting buy-in from all stakeholders related to that decision.
  • Experience working on a reporting suite of tools in some capacity, understanding the complexities of data visualizations, building effective dashboards, underlying data cleanliness, and more
  • Strong self-management practices with attention to detail
  • Experience partnering strongly with customer success teams, and building up a strong knowledge of key pain points and opportunities
  • Ability to distill business needs to support the product to meet those needs
  • Experience working on a complex, data-rich platform
  • Familiar with SQL queries with exploratory data analysis
  • Experience performing quality assurance (QA) testing to evaluate functionality and catch issues before they reach production
