Job Description

  • Develop short-term forecasts for GM retail, fleet, and industry (current and next year).
  • Build and maintain automated reporting tools (Power BI and others).
  • Collaborate with the GM Canada AI team to enhance current processes and develop other automation solutions.
  • Monthly Forecast Cycle:

  • Update forecasts with actual sales.

  • Assess upside/risk and adjust annual forecast.
  • Set retail and fleet forecasts for remaining months.
  • Generate summary reports: retail/fleet forecasts, market share, YoY comparisons.

  • 20-Day Snapshot:

  • Estimate month-end sales and market share.

  • Create business status presentations.

  • Collaborate with brand and fleet teams to build next year's budget forecast.

  • Communicate approved forecasts to GMNA.
  • Develop and present production requests aligned with sales forecasts.
  • Secure leadership approval and submit requests to production control.
  • Participate in North American scheduling meetings and update production schedules.
  • Maintain relationships with NAMA forecasting team.
  • Produce inventory reports: shipments vs. sales vs. inventory.
  • Determine optimal dealership inventory levels by model.
  • Visualize inventory needs, production shifts, and sales risk.
  • Engage brand and fleet teams on forecast and production changes.
  • Deliver ad hoc reports and analyses.
  • Support cross-training and collaboration across the Distribution Team.
