About Us

ADOR CAN INC. is a Toronto-based General Contracting company specializing in commercial and industrial construction and renovation projects. We are growing quickly and are looking for a reliable, skilled, and motivated Handyman to join our team.

Position Overview

The Handyman will support our project teams by performing a wide range of repair, maintenance, and light construction tasks at various job sites. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with a broad skillset who enjoys problem-solving and takes pride in quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general repairs and maintenance (carpentry, drywall, painting, flooring, minor plumbing/electrical).
  • Assist in site preparation, clean-up, and general labour tasks.
  • Support project supervisors with renovation and construction work as required.
  • Inspect job site, troubleshoot issues, propose solutions, monitor progress and evaluate construction quality.
  • Safely operate tools and equipment in compliance with company policies and health & safety standards.
  • Ensure tasks are completed on time and to quality standards.
  • Coordinating tasks by different people on different sites to ensure uniformity upon project completion
  • Maintain detailed site reports, progress records, and other relevant documentation, often providing updates to project managers and stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Handyman, Maintenance Worker, or in a similar role (construction/renovation background preferred).
  • Knowledge of general trades (carpentry, drywall, painting, minor plumbing/electrical).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and teamwork.
  • Strong understanding of construction plans and technical drawings, building codes, and safety regulations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
