Role Overview
As a Field Supervisor, you'll lead the day-to-day operations of Level 1 and 2 stations, ensuring smooth, safe, and efficient service across the network. You'll coordinate closely with the Ground Support team, oversee station compliance with safety and transport regulations, and ensure teams are well ‑ trained and performing at their best. Your responsibilities will also include stepping in for station personnel when needed, ensuring continuity of operations. From conducting station inspections to supporting budget planning and covering Level 3 stations when required, your leadership will help keep Air Inuit's ground operations running with precision and care — every day, in every season.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead and optimize daily operations across Level 1 & 2 stations, ensuring smooth, efficient performance.
  • Collaborate closely with the Ground Support team to deliver exceptional service to both stations and customers.
  • Promote and enforce safety and compliance, enforcing operational standards and transport regulations, including the handling of dangerous goods.
  • Recruit, train, and coach station personnel, fostering high-performing, engaged teams.
  • Conduct on-site station inspections every three months to ensure operational excellence.
  • Contribute to budget planning and resource allocation.
  • Step in for station personnel when needed to ensure continuity of operations.
  • Support Level 3 stations as needed.
  • Take on additional responsibilities that support the success of the Ground Operations department.

What Sets You Apart For This Role

  • High school diploma (or equivalent) and minimum 5 years of aviation industry experience.
  • Strong leadership in multi-site operations and team development.
  • Solid knowledge of safety standards, transport regulations, and dangerous goods handling.
  • Skilled in cross-functional collaboration and resource planning.
  • Experience with site inspections and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and solutions-focused under pressure.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in at least two of the following: Inuktitut, French, English.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office tools, mainly Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with Nunavik and Air Inuit's operations.
  • Valid Quebec or Canadian driver's licence.

Compensation

  • Salary and benefits are determined according to company policy.
  • Annual northern bonus of $11, 032 (if the position is filled by a local employee).

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Rotational position: 15 days of work followed by 13 days off.
  • If the position is not filled locally:
  • Air transport from Montreal as well as accommodation and meals are covered by the company for each rotation.
  • The employee will be recognized as not having a designated base.
