If you are a team player and love to be in the kitchen... this is a great place to work. Cooking experience is required. You must be a self motivated person able to work with no supervision but also able to work as part of a small team.
This position supports our Head Cook by filling in every Sunday and Monday running our kitchen.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Work with Head Cook and serving staff as a team.
Preparing foods, including chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, portioning foods etc...
Cooking all foods on our menu as per recipes and to specified stages.
Plating (presentation counts), for timely delivery by servers.
Adhere to food handling and health & safety procedures.
Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen and back of house including washing tableware, kitchen tools, etc.
Disposing of waste & recycling
Opening and closing duties as required · Other duties as assigned
General cleaning duties
Skills & Qualifications:
Previous experience working in a kitchen and familiarity with food is a definite asset. You must have an understanding of safe food handling and demonstrate a high level of self-discipline in work habits and quality.

Must be 19 yrs or older
Must have current Foodsafe certification
Ability to perform efficient, quality work with minimal supervision
Strong work ethic and ability to adapt quickly to innovation and change
Ability to work different shift times, from late morning starts to evening events, but this position is currently for Sunday and Monday each week
Ability to work both independently as well as part of a team
Ability to stand for several hours
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
