Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. You will assist customers with their orders, handle cash transactions, and ensure that food safety standards are met. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service and a commitment to creating a positive experience for every guest.

Please Note:

This is a part-time position offering 10 to 24 hours per week across 2-3 shifts per week—with the option to work up to 5 shifts during the summer months if desired.

Candidates must be available to work both Saturdays and Sundays, with availability starting as early as 8:00 AM and ending as late as 4:30 PM. While shifts may begin at 9:00 AM, staff must be available starting at 8:00 AM to accommodate scheduling needs.

Applicants must be able to reliably commute to the location by car or public transit. If commuting by bus, you must be familiar with Sunday bus schedules and able to arrive by 8:00 AM.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly and assist them with their orders in a timely manner.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and providing change.
  • Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently to manage customer transactions.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the service area and dining spaces.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and standards throughout food preparation and service.
  • Assist in restocking supplies as needed to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
  • Provide help to team members as necessary to promote a collaborative work environment.

Skills

  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.
  • Experience in cash handling and basic math skills for accurate transaction processing.
  • Familiarity with food service operations, including knowledge of food safety practices.
  • Previous experience in a restaurant or similar environment is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to operate POS systems effectively and efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced setting.
