Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Lead Software Engineer located in Calgary, AB. The Lead Software Engineer will oversee the development lifecycle, focusing on back-end software design, programming, and implementation of innovative solutions. Responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams, ensuring best practices in software development, improving system performance, and mentoring junior developers to promote technical growth within the team.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of Computer Science principles and foundational understanding of software engineering methodologies
  • Proficiency in Back-End Web Development and Software Development, including handling server-side logic and database integration
  • Solid Programming skills, including expertise in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) paradigms
  • Proven ability to lead projects, collaborate effectively, and make strategic decisions in a team environment
  • Experience with cloud technologies and AI solutions is an asset
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions
