About The Role & Team
theScore is looking for a high-energy on-camera personality to serve as host for select in-studio sports programming with a focus on hockey. This role sits within the content and studio production team and will focus on ideating and hosting shows that resonate with sports fans across multiple platforms. The ideal candidate is comfortable in front of the camera, passionate about sports, and able to lead a studio show as the primary host. You'll collaborate closely with producers, editors, and creators to shape formats and produce content designed to live on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other owned channels. This is a freelance role, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced sports media environment and is excited to help theScore continue to grow its digital presence.

About The Work

• Serve as on-camera talent for in-studio shows, digital clips, and social-first sports content.
• Collaborate with producers and the content team to ideate and develop new show concepts and formats.
• Deliver engaging, insightful, and entertaining commentary on major sports events and trending stories.
• Contribute to scripting and story development for short- and long-form content.
• Stay tapped into sports news, trends, and conversations to help drive timely content.
• Other hosting and production duties as assigned.
• This is a seasonal role and will help cover roughly the entire the NHL Season (6 month in length).

About You

• 2+ years of on-camera hosting or digital content experience (sports-focused preferred).
• Strong knowledge of major sports leagues with the primary focus being hockey and current sports culture.
• Confident, conversational, and entertaining presence on camera.
• Experience developing or contributing to show ideas and editorial direction.
• Comfortable improvising and reacting in fast-turnaround or live environments.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Passion for sports storytelling and understanding of what resonates with digital and social audiences.
