Journeyperson - Electrician

Journeyperson Electricians

You'll work on a variety of
residential, commercial, and new construction projects
across HRM and surrounding areas — all while building your skills and advancing your career in a company that's growing with you.

This position is eligible for a signing bonus up to $5,000.00.

What we would like you to bring to the table:

• Manage electrical projects, assessing the project requirements, materials, timelines, and goals.
• Work with the electrical team and general contractor to meet deadlines, assign workload based on level of experience.
• Complying strictly with Canadian Electrical Code and local building regulations.
• Organize and prioritize tasks and to ensure required resources are available.
• Communicate progress of projects with the team and management.
• Experience with budgets and allotted hours for jobs and various reporting.
• Ensure all workers receive the proper training, support job training for apprentices, and facilitate mentoring.
• Know, understand, and participate in safety/incident investigations. Review safety/incident investigations and provide crews with adequate supervision to accomplish tasks in a safe effective manner.
• Plan, assemble, install, repair, test and maintain electrical fixtures and systems that provide heat, light, power or control at commercial sites.
• Effectively interpret blueprints and schematics is essential to ensure safety and completeness within the project.
• Inspect systems and components to identify hazards or defects to ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Enforce and maintain clean site facilities and equipment and comply with all safety standards.
• Fire alarm experience is a must.
• Collaborate with other team members and contractors to complete projects effectively and efficiently.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications:

• Ability to work in a physical fast-paced environment.
• Journeymen Electrician License or equivalent experience and certifications.
• Proven experience as an Electrician in residential, and commercial settings.
• Comply with all safety regulations and meet safety training requirements to maintain a successful safety record
• Willingness to travel to all job sites.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.
• Must have a strong work-ethic and be reliable.
• Must have a valid driver's license.

This position may undergo a Government of Canada Security Clearance Screen.
