Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Cake Decorator to join our bakery team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating visually stunning and delicious cakes, ensuring each masterpiece meets our high standards of quality and presentation. This role involves working closely with customers to customize cakes, preparing and decorating baked goods, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. The Cake Decorator plays a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and enhancing the overall experience for our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Decorate cakes according to customer specifications, including piping, icing, dripping, and other artistic techniques
  • Prepare cake fillings, frostings, and other decorative elements using food-safe ingredients
  • Ensure all baked goods meet quality standards for appearance and taste before serving or packaging.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations in compliance with food safety regulations
  • Package finished products carefully for delivery or pickup, ensuring presentation quality is preserved
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely production of decorated cakes for events or daily orders
  • Follow all food handling and safety protocols diligently throughout the decorating process

Requirements

  • Passionate in cake decorating, baking, or related food preparation roles preferred
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
  • Experience working in a restaurant or bakery environment is highly desirable
  • Skilled in various decorating techniques such as piping, fondant work, airbrushing, and edible art forms
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail
  • Excellent customer service skills with an ability to communicate effectively with clients about their needs
  • Basic kitchen experience including food preparation, baking, and packaging skills
  • Knowledge of the food industry standards related to cleanliness, safety, and sanitation
