Job Overview

We are seeking motivated Nursing Students to join our healthcare team in providing compassionate and comprehensive care to a diverse patient population. This role offers valuable hands-on experience in various care settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, hospice, and home care. The ideal candidate is dedicated to learning, capable of working with individuals with disabilities and dementia, and committed to supporting patients' well-being through attentive caregiving.

Duties

  • Assist with patient care activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility support
  • Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring safety and accuracy
  • Aid in meal preparation and feeding for residents or patients as needed
  • Help with light cleaning duties to maintain a safe and hygienic environment
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to seniors and individuals with disabilities
  • Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) tailored to individual needs
  • Support hospice care teams by offering comfort and assistance to terminally ill patients
  • Collaborate with nursing staff to monitor patient conditions and report any concerns promptly
  • Engage in caregiving tasks that promote independence and dignity for patients

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled as a Nursing Student or equivalent healthcare program participant
  • Prior experience or familiarity with assisted living, nursing home, or home care environments is preferred
  • Compassionate attitude with excellent interpersonal skills for working with seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those requiring dementia or hospice care
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when required for patient mobility or equipment handling
  • Willingness to perform caregiving duties including medication administration, meal prep, and light cleaning
  • Strong work ethic with a commitment to providing high-quality patient care
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility to adapt to various shifts and care needs as required by the facility or patient circumstances

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12 per week
