The Repair and Restoration Technician is responsible for performing high-quality repair and finishing work on residential, commercial, and industrial restoration projects in the Grey-Bruce region.
This role requires demonstrated skill in drywall installation and finishing, plaster repair, painting, and trim carpentry.
The Technician ensures that all work is completed safely, e iciently, and to the company's high standards of craftsmanship and customer satisfaction. Working independently or as part of a team, this role supports the restoration process from start to finish — helping clients restore their properties to pre-loss condition.
What You'll Do
- Perform drywall installation and finishing
- Painting
- Carpentry work such as framing, trim, and door installation.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized worksite and follow company safety standards.
- C*ommunicate clearly with clients, supervisors, and teammates to ensure quality and timelines are met. *
- Any other reasonable duties as assigned.
What To Bring
- Strong attention to detail and respect for safeguarding property and confidential information.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's license with clean driver's abstract and ability to operate a motor vehicle in accordance with company policy.
Nice To Have:
- 5+ years of experience within the construction, restoration or insurance industry;
- Understanding of customer service principles and practices; and
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Working Conditions
- Due to the nature of our business, this position will work normal business hours but may be required to work in the evenings, on-call, or outside normal working hours;
- Perform tasks requiring mobility in tight or confined spaces, sustained physical activity (standing, lifting, walking, bending, kneeling), and working at heights over 5 feet as needed;
- Periodic travel may be required
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $43,264.00-$64,896.00 per year
Work Location: In person
