Position Summary:

The Senior Network Field Technician leads complex infrastructure projects, provides advanced troubleshooting, and ensures high-quality service delivery. This role demands expert-level knowledge in structured cabling, fiber optics, AV systems, and break-fix scenarios, with the flexibility to work in challenging environments and schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and execute advanced break-fix tasks for critical network and AV systems.
  • Design, install, and certify structured cabling and fiber optic networks.
  • Perform fiber splicing, OTDR testing, and certification using Fluke and Viavi tools.
  • Oversee full network installations including rack builds, cable management, labeling, and documentation.
  • Provide expert smart hands/feet support including BIOS configuration, firmware updates, and hardware replacements
  • Manage AV deployments including video conferencing systems, control panels, and network integration.
  • Mentor intermediate technicians and ensure adherence to industry standards.
  • Collaborate with project managers and clients to ensure successful project execution.
  • Work overnight shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
  • Operate in all weather conditions and lift equipment/materials exceeding 50 lbs.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in network field services, with leadership in structured cabling and fiber optics.
  • Advanced knowledge of networking protocols, hardware, and troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency with fiber splicing, OTDR testing, and certification standards (TIA/EIA, BICSI).
  • Strong understanding of AV systems and IP network integration.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Industry certifications such as BICSI Technician, FOA CFOS/T, Cisco CCNA/CCNP highly desirable.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to multiple job sites.

Work Environment


• On-site across GTA providing network support, Ontario office (5 days).
