School of Continuing Studies, University of Toronto and Circuit Stream have partnered to offer an innovative, career-ready Product Management Bootcamp Course. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Product Management Instructor to join our dynamic team and play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of industry-ready product managers. Whether your background includes work at a globally recognized tech company like Amazon, or Microsoft, —or you've driven innovation at a startup or mission-driven organization—we value real-world experience and a passion for mentorship. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in product management concepts, methodologies, and tools. The role involves teaching various aspects of product management, from strategic planning and market analysis to product lifecycle management and data-driven decision-making.
This position is open candidates based in Eastern Canada and is 100% remote. While instruction is delivered online, we're focused on building a strong local network of instructors. The next cohort runs from February to July 2026. Product Management Bootcamp Instructor candidates should have full availability from 6:30-9:00 pm Eastern Time on Tuesdays and Thursdays for live online classes, plus 1 Wednesday per month for live online technical labs, as well as flexible time for marking assignments and preparing for lessons (estimated commitment is 10-12 hours per week).
Responsibilities
  • Lead engaging and comprehensive classroom sessions, workshops, and hands-on projects in product management, utilizing a learner-centered approach.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and refinement of the product management curriculum, ensuring it remains current, relevant, and aligned with industry trends.
  • Provide constructive feedback, guidance, and mentorship to students as they work on their product case studies, assignments and projects.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in product management tools and methodologies, such as SQL, Jira, Figma, and Agile practices.
  • Share real-world experiences, case studies, and insights from the product management industry.
  • Collaborate with other instructors and industry professionals to create interdisciplinary learning experiences.
  • Design, administer, and assess student performance and understanding in product management concepts.
  • Utilize your past experience in Product Management to create real-world examples you can blend with class content to help drive exceptional learning outcomes.

Requirements
  • At least 3 years of hands-on product management experience, with a proven track record of launching and managing successful products—whether in a large tech company, fast-growing startup, or other industry setting.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Expertise: Proficiency in product management methodologies, tools, and practices.
  • Instructional Abilities: Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to convey complex concepts in an accessible and engaging manner.
  • Creativity: Innate creative thinking and the ability to inspire and nurture creativity in students.
  • Mentorship: Experience in mentoring and guiding students or junior product managers.
  • Adaptability: Willingness to adapt to evolving curriculum needs, industry trends, and emerging technologies.
  • Team Player: A collaborative attitude, eager to contribute to a positive and supportive team environment.
  • Continuous Learning: A proactive attitude towards ongoing professional development and a willingness to learn and stay up-to-date with industry advancements.

  • Competitive contractor rates: $8500 for the full duration of the contract (5.5 months) to be invoiced in semi-monthly installments of $650 twice per month for 10 invoices plus $ 2,000 completion pay for the final invoice.
  • Opportunity to earn a performance bonus at the end of the contract as well as first option to renew contract for upcoming cohorts.
