Role: Global Medical Affairs Intern

Term: 2026 – January through June

Location: Amgen Canada Head Office Flexible Commuter Financial Drive, Suite 300, Mississauga, ON

Reports to: Global Medical Director, Bone Health

What You Will Do

Let's do this. Let's change the world. During this program, you will support the Global Medical Director, Bone Health in the responsibilities associated with the implementation and follow up of various planned medical activities.

Support the Medical Affairs team in the strategic development and execution of the Medical tactics.

  • Support the Medical director with ad-hoc projects and tasks
  • Explore digital opportunities to advance medical team effectiveness
  • Support the medical team in review and summary of key publications
  • Ensure quality and compliance in different medical activities
  • Help coordinate medical activities at key scientific congresses
  • Take independent action on handling requests; determines the appropriate course of action while consistently keeping the Medical Director informed

Basic Qualifications:

Amgen requires that all individuals applying for a grad internship or a co-op assignment at Amgen must meet the following criteria:

  • 18 years or older
  • Graduated with a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a 3.0 minimum GPA or equivalent
  • Enrolled in the Queens University Pharmaceutical & Healthcare Management and Innovation Graduate Diploma program

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Science Background with Pharmaceutical/Biotech experience
  • Strong computer skills with the Microsoft Office suite of software including Outlook
  • Be a strong team player and able to build productive internal/external relationships
  • Flexible and adaptable and willing to participate in a variety of projects
  • Be a self-motivator to achieve results with attention to detail
  • Excel at written and oral communication
