Part Time Professor, Early Childhood Education

Applications are invited for the position of Part-Time Professor, Early Childhood Education within the School of Community Services. This position will commence January 2026 at the Welland Campus.

Required qualifications:

  • Early Childhood Education Diploma
  • Registered with the College of Early Childhood Educators of Ontario
  • Minimum of 5 years current practical work experience in the ECE field in a variety of settings
  • Thorough knowledge of the multi-dimensional nature of the ECE field
  • Proven dedication to excellence in teaching and learning practices as well as co6mmitment to student success
  • Past record of forging strong working relationships with peers and co-workers
  • Indication of contribution to a strong team environment and positive work culture
  • Evidence of commitment to guiding and supporting post-secondary students toward success
  • Demonstrated ability to work with diverse post-secondary student populations
  • Experience using various computer software packages including Microsoft Office and Learning Management Systems (D2L Brightspace)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong organizational, problem solving, and analytical skills
  • Previous experience in adult training/education
  • Knowledge and or experience in the implementation of emergent curriculum / inquiry based learning and pedagogical documentation.

Preferred candidates may also possess:

  • Degree in a related field
  • Demonstrated competency in curriculum design, delivery and evaluation at the post secondary level
  • Experience in hybrid teaching / asynchronous teaching
