Position Summary
 
Reporting to the Warehouse Team Leader, the Handler is responsible for loading and unloading trucks and leaving the orbital line.
 
Job Responsibilities

Move and handle large and bulky cargo in a dock environment.
Driving a forklift in congested areas.
Ensure compliance with TDG, WHMIS, company policies and/or procedures, and specific customer requirements.
Use proper handling techniques to ensure that customers' goods are protected from damage.
Ensure that all incoming and outgoing goods are received and shipped accurately and efficiently, in accordance with company procedures.
Organize and direct inbound and outbound freight.
Load/unload trailers in accordance with company procedures.
The forklift driver ensures that the cargo is properly loaded and/or unloaded with invoice control and appropriate supporting documentation.
Adhere to the company's health and safety policies and procedures.
Ensure the cleanliness of the workspace and perform the household tasks assigned to him/her.

Education and experience required

A forklift permit is preferred.

Key skills required

Be an expert in forklift driving;
Safe driving;
Be thorough and organized.
