Intern Program Overview

Job Purpose
The
Manufacturing Engineering team
provides technical expertise to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective production systems. By analyzing current processes, implementing new methods, and introducing innovative technologies, the team continuously drives improvements in manufacturing efficiency, cost, product quality, and worker safety.
As a
Manufacturing Engineer Intern
, you will gain hands-on experience working with engineers and plant staff to analyze processes, establish standards, and support projects that directly impact plant performance.
Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities may include:
- Working with engineers to provide technical expertise on current manufacturing systems, focusing on safety, efficiency, and cost reduction opportunities
- Analyzing documents and making recommendations for part or process failures from both technical and operational perspectives
- Collecting, developing, and applying data to establish labor standards, routings, and cost structures for engineering changes and new product introductions
- Assisting in projects aimed at improving manufacturing efficiency, product quality, worker safety, and cost reduction
- Supporting the adoption of new methods and technologies to enhance manufacturing capabilities
Preferred Qualifications
Candidates must be pursuing (at minimum) a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
