Position Summary:

The Help Desk Technician is responsible for providing front-line support for technical issues related to hardware, software, and electronic systems. This role requires strong problem-solving abilities, clear communication, and a genuine passion for helping others. Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, or in-person, providing timely and effective technical support
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues, escalating complex problems as needed
  • Track, document, and manage support requests through internal ticketing systems
  • Assist in configuring, maintaining, and upgrading electronic devices and systems
  • Collaborate with technical teams to resolve recurring issues and improve service quality
  • Provide clear instructions and guidance to customers in both technical and non-technical terms
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of SD Electronics' products and services

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or certificate in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electronics, or a related field
  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a help desk or technical support role
  • Strong understanding of computer systems, networking, and electronic devices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Experience with help desk software and remote troubleshooting tools is an asset
