Job Description
What is your opportunity?
As Director, Enterprise Model Risk Management (EMRM), you will supervise a team to work in close proximity with model stakeholders in order to validate mathematical models used by RBC in the area of IFRS9 credit loss models. You will be in a leadership role to oversee model reviews and conduct resource planning and project planning to be able to deliver quality reviews on time.

What will you do?

  • Provide effective challenge to all the models to ensure the model is conceptually sound, consistent with industry and regulatory requirements.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to provide model governance support and education to model developers in this area and users to ensure the models are in compliance.
  • Ensure team members have a proper understanding and documentation of the models' business purpose and context and will facilitate RBC compliance with regulatory policies, guidelines, and procedures on model risk.
  • Provide coaching and support for the members in the team.

What do you need to succeed?

  • Graduate degree in a quantitative discipline such as physics, math, engineering, computer science, statistics, finance or financial engineering.
  • Expert in quantitative modelling or statistical modelling with good analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Expert in credit modeling ( PD, LGD, EAD, ECL)
  • Expert in programming languages (Python, SAS)
  • 5+ year's experience in model development or validation in IFRS9 models.
