The Research Coverage Team provides AlphaSense clients with the cleanest, richest, best structured fundamental data and models on global public companies. Firms across financial services and corporate markets globally rely on our financial model library to drive efficiency across their teams and to ground their financial analysis in sound fundamental data. By bringing financial modeling and technology together, our team makes generating independent research more efficient and helps generate higher-conviction investment ideas. *About The Role:*
We are looking for an Equity Research Associate with a passion for Equity Research. Our ideal candidate has a solid capital markets foundation or deep subject matter expertise in a particular field and is looking to make the jump to Equity Research.

*What You'll Do:*

  • Update three-statement financial models for publicly traded companies' earnings reports
  • Build and support the review of detailed three-statement financial models for publicly traded companies.
  • Contribute to sub-sector-specific and/or coverage wide model improvements.
  • Develop sector expertise to support the development of modeling standards, dashboards for comparative analysis, and new model features.
  • Document modeling best practices.
  • Support Analysts in providing exceptional client service to all users.
  • Conduct other ad-hoc general research and other company due diligence.
  • Participate in training new members of the Research Team.

*Who You Are:
Associate I (CAD $53, % bonus)*
You are a recent graduate or early-career professional with 1+ years of experience or equivalent education in finance, accounting, or a related field. You bring strong attention to detail, solid Excel fundamentals, and a passion for financial modeling, equity research, and capital markets. You're eager to grow your modeling skills and you thrive in a fast-paced, team-driven environment. A CFA path or MBA interest is a plus, but not required.

*Minimum Qualifications:*

  • 1+ years of experience in equity research, financial modeling, accounting, or equivalent experience/education
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, and/or your sector.
  • Strong Excel proficiency and desire to improve modeling capabilities
  • Curiosity about equities and capital markets
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • High attention to detail and collaborative spirit

Associate II (CAD $62, % bonus)
You bring 2+ years of experience in equity research or an adjacent discipline with a proven ability to build and improve three-statement financial models independently. You demonstrate initiative, sector expertise, and might be planning to pursue a CFA. You're comfortable under pressure, excel in client service, and contribute proactively to process and product improvements.

*Minimum Qualifications:*

  • 2+ years of experience in equity research, financial modeling, or accounting
  • Strong financial modeling skills and sector understanding
  • Progress towards CFA, CPA or MBA is preferred
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage deadlines and deliver accurate outputs
  • Leadership traits and/or experience training or mentoring peers
  • Proven ability to support client service and contribute to team strategy

For base compensation, we set standard ranges for all roles based on function and level benchmarked against similar stage growth companies and internal comparables. In order to be compliant with local legislation, as well as to provide greater transparency to candidates, we share salary ranges on all job postings regardless of desired hiring location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience/expertise and may vary from the amounts listed below.

Compensation Range

$53,000—$62,500 CAD
