As a Contracts Manager you will support the drafting, negotiation, and management of a broad range of commercial contracts. This role will play a key part in ensuring contracts align with legal requirements, company policies, and organizational goals, while minimizing risk.
The successful candidate will support the full contract lifecycle from initial negotiation through renewal or termination. Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with commercial solutions, legal, finance, and business teams is required.
What You'll do:
- Contract Drafting and Negotiation: Creating, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements and contract templates, including NDAs, service agreements, and other customer agreements.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensuring contracts comply with legal and regulatory requirements, company policies, and mitigating potential risks.
- Contract Lifecycle Management: Managing contracts from initiation to completion, including intake, approval workflows, execution, renewals, amendments, and terminations.
- Stakeholder Communication: Interacting with internal teams and customers to align contract terms with business objectives and facilitate contract execution
- Contract Documentation: Maintaining organized and up-to-date records of all contracts and related documentation within the contract management system.
- Contract Renewal and Termination: Monitoring contract deadlines and key milestones to support proactive renewal or renegotiation decisions.
- Contract Optimization: Identifying opportunities to improve the contract processes, improve efficiency, and support scalable contract practices.
What skills You'll Use
Basic Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree
- 3+ years of relevant contract management or legal experience, preferably in a corporate or in-house environment.
- Strong knowledge of contract law, negotiation principles, and risk allocation.
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills that includes experience with negotiation, conflict resolution and customer service.
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience with contract lifecycle management (CLM) systems
- JD (Juris Doctor) or paralegal certificate
- Aerospace industry experience a plus
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and communication abilities.
