Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cabinet Spray Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing, priming, and spray painting kitchen cabinets at the shop & on-site to a high-quality finish. This role requires knowledge of wood coatings and a commitment to precision and cleanliness.

Duties

  • Prepare wood surfaces (kitchen cabinets, doors, trim, panels) for painting, including sanding, cleaning, and masking.
  • Apply primers, sealers, and finish coats using spray tools.
  • Apply masking to areas we do not want painted on before the primer application.
  • Inspect surfaces for quality and consistency throughout the finishing process.
  • Maintain a clean and organized spray booth and workspace.
  • Follow safety guidelines for handling paints, solvents, and equipment.
  • Maintain spray equipment and report any malfunctions.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members, including carpenters and installers, to meet project deadlines.

Skills

  • Experience in spray painting cabinets or wood products (Preferred).
  • Contribute to group efforts alongside peers
  • willing to learn more skills
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control.
  • Ability to read and follow work orders.
  • Physically fit and able to lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Knowledge of safe handling and disposal of finishing materials.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (Preferred).
  • Knowledge of woodworking and cabinets
  • Open to working extra hours when needed to ensure deadlines are met

Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license and personal vehicle
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
