Junior Industrial Designer

Creative Coefficient is a full-service industrial design and product development studio with over 25 years of experience bringing market-ready products to life. We work with startups through global brands across medical devices, consumer electronics, smart home products, and emerging technology.

We are seeking a Junior Industrial Designer with at least one year of professional experience to support Industrial Design and product development programs from early concept through development.

Responsibilities

  • Support senior designers on active client projects
  • Contribute to concept development, sketching, and CAD refinement
  • Assist with design iteration, presentation materials, and documentation
  • Participate in design reviews and internal critiques
  • Support basic prototyping and model-making as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design or related field
  • 1+ years of professional experience in an industrial design studio or in-house team
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks (or equivalent) and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Strong design fundamentals and attention to detail
  • Ability to take direction, receive feedback, and iterate

Preferred (Not Required)

  • Exposure to products moving toward manufacturing
  • Basic understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and DFM
  • Experience with prototyping or 3D printing

Location

  • Full-time
  • Remote or hybrid (Canada)

Compensation

  • CAD $55,000–$70,000, based on experience
